Opportunities

Kids & Youth

LaTUMCY (La Tijera United Methodist Church Youth) meets Friday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for dinner, scripture, and fun!  We explore scripture through story telling, drama, discussion, art, music, and media (but not all at the same time!)  LaTUMCY periodically shares their re-telling of the scriptures during worship on Sunday morning, and their contributions to worship are amazing.  LaTUMCY serves youth from middle school through high school. 

United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women meet every Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. for fellowship, food and quilt making!  The UMW have made quilts for families in shelters, children and infants in hospitals, and children in our La Tijera family.  Not only are they busy making incredible quilts, but they also provide refreshments and hospitality each Sunday after worship and at many events throughout the year.  All are welcome - whether you can sew or not!  The United Methodist Women truly hold all of us in their capable hands!

Prayer

We believe in the power of prayer, whether spoken aloud or kept in the quiet of our hearts.  We believe that prayer is an important path in our lifelong walk with God.  Anyone can send a prayer request to the church, via email. phone, or during worship - anyone can join in La Tijera prayer chain
