On June 30, 2019, La Tijera United Methodist Church closed its doors.  While we are grieving over the closure of La Tijera UMC, we are excited about what the future holds for all who called La Tijera their church home.  As of July 1, 2019, Pastor Lyda is appointed to Westchester United Methodist Church and the congregation of La Tijera is going with her!  Our new address at Westchester UMC is 8065 Emerson Avenue, Los Angeles, CA  90045, (310) 670-3777, and the website is wumcla.org.

Join us on Sunday, July 7th at 10:00 a.m. for worship at our new church home - Westchester UMC!

We are a Reconciling Church who creates space at the Table for all God's Children regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, background, or race.  We welcome all into the full expression of Christ's inclusive love.

Sunday Worship, 9:30 a.m. – it’s a casual, kid friendly, spirit filled time to come together and explore what it means to be a person of faith in today’s disjointed world.

On the first Sunday of each month at 6:30 p.m. -
it's The Gathering - renew yourself with an hour of meditation, prayer, silence, scripture, and music in
the style of Taize (repetitive and chant-like).

On the third Sunday of the month, we prepare and serve breakfast for the residents of PATH West Los Angeles (People Assisting the Homeless) at 6:45 a.m. (before Sunday morning worship!)

We believe in--making disciples of Jesus Christ for
the transformation of the world.

We live by two kinds of holiness:
personal and social.

                  We follow three simple rules:
1.  Do no harm.
2.  Do good.
3.  Stay in love with God.

Come and discover all we have to offer – and make some new friends along the way!

Directions:  We are conveniently located just off the 405 Freeway at LaTijera Blvd.- you can't miss our cross tower and beautiful blue glass chapel.
